Sixteen teams are competing in the National Futsal Tournament at the Mumong Sports Complex multipurpose hall which began yesterday.
Organised by the Co-Curriculum Education Department (JPKK) in conjunction with the Teacher’s Day celebration, the tournament will see teachers from across the nation compete in round-robin over the next three weeks.
The teams comprise four groups: UNISSA B, GT FT B, UBD A and Belait A in Group A; UNISSA A, JPKK B, KUPU SB, and SEAMEO VOCTECH in Group B; UBD B, JPKK A, Belait A, and JPI Belait in Group C, and GT FT A, Belait C, Teras FT, and JPK in Group D.
The preliminary rounds will continue on September 30, while the quarter-finals and semi-finals in October 2. The finals and the third-place matches will be held on October 7 at the Universiti Brunei Darussalam Sports Complex.
