Blessings can be obtained in numerous ways and among them is respecting teachers. In Islam, teachers are more than just educators; Allah the Almighty glorified them, as stated in Surah Al-Mujadalah: “Allah the Almighty will raise in rank those of you who believe and those who have been given the knowledge.”
Assistant Ra’es at the Religious Teachers University College of Seri Begawan (KUPU SB) Dr Haji Mohammad Shahrol Azmi bin Haji Abdul Muluk highlighted this during a religious talk in a special Munajat on Saturday night to commemorate the 34th Teacher’s Day celebration.
The event began with the recitation of Sayyidul Istighfar and Surah Al-Fatihah, led by Minister of Religious Affairs Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Haji Awang Badaruddin bin Pengarah Dato Paduka Haji Awang Othman followed by the recitation of Surah Yaasiin, Doa Munajat and Selawat Tafrijiyyah en masse.
Doa Peliharakan Sultan dan Negara Brunei Darussalam was recited to mark the event’s conclusion.
Minister of Education Datin Seri Setia Dr Hajah Romaizah binti Haji Mohd Salleh attended the event.
Deputy Minister of Religious Affairs Pengiran Dato Seri Paduka Haji Mohd Tashim bin Pengiran Haji Hassan, as well as senior officials of the Ministry of Religious Affairs and the Ministry of Education, and school leaders and students were also in attendance.
