The Tausyeh team from Utama Mohammad Salleh Mosque in Pekan Bangar, Temburong District emerged as the winner in the male category of a Tausyeh competition while the team from Kampong Batu Apoi Mosque, Temburong clinched the top spot in the female category.
Meanwhile, Kampong Salambigar Mosque’s team won the male youth category and Kampong Batu Apoi Mosque’s team won the female youth category.
Permanent Secretary (Youth) at the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports Haji Zakaria bin Haji Serudin presented the prizes.
Some 28 teams competed in the finals including mosque takmir committee and mosque youths. It was organised by Mosque Affairs Department through Imarah Division with the cooperation of the Jame’ ‘Asr Hassanil Bolkiah’s mosque takmir committee. – Azlan Othman
