A tarbiyah programme with new converts, themed “Avoiding Superstitious and Heretical Practices,” was held on Wednesday as part of an ongoing series organised by the Islamic Da’wah Centre in conjunction with Ilal Hijrah.
The programme is extended to Tutong District on August 31, Belait District on September 3, and Temburong District on September 5.
For the Brunei-Muara District, yesterday’s session saw the participation of 100 new converts at the Conference Hall of the Islamic Da’wah Centre.
The facilitator for the talk was a representative from the Faith Control and Research Unit, Enforcement Division, Department of Sharia Affairs.
Present as the Guest of Honour was Acting Deputy Permanent Secretary (Policy and Religious) at the Ministry of Religious Affairs Haji Abdul Rajid bin Haji Mohd Salleh. – Fadley Faisal
