The Employees Trust Fund (TAP) announced that a TAP dissemination programme for Belait District residents will be held at Kuala Belait Municipal Hall tomorrow from 9am to 4pm.
The programme focuses on providing National Retirement Scheme (SPK) benefits to self-employed members who are Brunei citizens and permanent residents aged 60 and below, and do not have employees or work in the formal sector.
Individuals meeting the requirements and wishing to register for SPK are welcome to attend the programme bringing along their original identity cards (IC) and self-employment verification documents listed on the TAP website.
SPK members attending the programme are also allowed to nominate SPK administrators. According to TAP, appointing an administrator will speed up the process of paying deceased SPK member’s savings to heirs and dependents.
Members are allowed to appoint no more than three nominees who are spouses, children aged 18 and above, parents, siblings or lawyers. SPK members wishing to appoint an administrator must bring original supporting documents.
For the appointment of spouses, bring a copy of the spouse’s IC and marriage certificate.
For children, bring a copy of the child’s IC and their birth certificate. For adopted children, bring a copy of the adoptee’s IC and adoption certificate.
For parents, bring a copy of the parent’s IC and member’s birth certificate.
For siblings, bring a copy of sibling’s IC and their birth certificate.
For lawyers, bring a copy of lawyer’s IC and agreement document such as engagement letter.
SPK members should register at TAP’s e-Amanah online service portal at www.tap.com.bn to ensure smooth nomination process. – Azlan Othman
