Tabung Amanah Pekerja (TAP) has successfully conducted its first-ever Retirement Planning Certification Programme (RPCP), aimed at equipping financial planners with comprehensive knowledge on retirement planning, according to a press release.
The four-day programme, held from January 21 to 24, 2025, saw participation from 25 financial planning professionals representing private insurance companies, including AIA and GoodLife Financial Planning Sdn Bhd.
RPCP is one of TAP’s key initiatives designed to certify financial planners across the country, ensuring they possess accurate expertise in retirement planning. The programme includes in-depth insights into TAP’s products, such as the National Retirement Scheme (SPK), along with specialised training on retirement strategies within the SPK framework.

Currently, the certification is targeted at certified financial planners and professionals from local financial institutions who offer advisory services to the public. Participants who successfully complete the programme will receive TAPCERT certification, allowing them to provide trusted retirement planning advice under TAP’s endorsement.
TAP has planned three RPCP sessions for 2025, with the next session scheduled for May. Registration for the second session will open in April and will be announced via TAP’s official digital platforms. Additional sessions may be considered if demand exceeds expectations.
