Phase 7 of RPN Kampong Tanah Jambu officially began yesterday following the signing of a contract between the Housing Development Department and contractor Thong & Thong Sdn Bhd.
The project under the 11th National Development Plan (RKN11) will cost over BND96 million for infrastructure works and 950 terrace units. The development project, covering 80 hectares, is expected to be completed in two years.
The contract signing was held at the Ministry of Development’s (MoD) Betabur Hall with Permanent Secretary (Infrastructure, Housing and Professional) at the MoD Ir Haji Amer Hishamuddin bin Pehin Orang Kaya Amar Pahlawan Dato Seri Setia Haji Zakaria as the guest of honour.
Signing on behalf of the Housing Development Department was Acting Director of Housing Development Rosniza binti Dato Paduka Haji Hamdani with Acting Deputy Director of Housing Development Haji Mohd Sufri bin Haji Abdul Hamid as the witness.
Thong & Thong was represented by Managing Director Haji Abdul Rahman bin Haji Metasim.
The department also signed agreements with three consultants – Gemilang Latif Associates, Perunding Primareka and Sepakat Setia Perunding (B) Sdn Bhd – at the event yesterday.
Gemilang Latif Associates was represented by Ar Mahri bin Haji Latif while Ir Wee Hong Kee inked the agreement on behalf of Perunding Primareka. Ir Dr Rohaniyati binti Pehin Orang Kaya Shahbandar Dato Seri Paduka Haji Md Salleh signed for Sepakat Setia Perunding.
Deputy Permanent Secretary (Corporate and Law) at the MoD Aldila binti Haji Mohamad Salleh, heads of departments and senior officials of MoD were also present.
