The Da’ie Youth Volunteer Body, with the support of the Youth Religious Programme Secretariat at the Islamic Da’wah Centre (PDI), held the 19th ‘Ilm series at the PDI’s Mau’izzah Hall yesterday.
Assistant Religious Development Officer Ahmad Muzhafar bin Haji Marsidi delivered a talk on ‘Young Leaders Criteria in Islam’, where he emphasised the three important types of leadership, namely motivation, determination and participating in the work of employees.
He added, “A leader’s role is to look after and monitor the people under their leadership. Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) has also instilled that a leader should have a character of credibility, Qudwah Hasanah, Syurga and is uncompromising in matters of principles.”
The talk was also made available online for the public through the Da’ie Youth social media platform on Instagram, which saw some 65 participants.
Meanwhile, the executive committee and facilitator of Da’ie Youth conducted a workshop on ‘How to Become a PIC’ which hoped to provide the Da’ie Youth Committee Session 2023-2025 with a better understanding on organising future events. – Lyna Mohamad
