Over 50 children shared a memorable experience as they explored badminton and swimming during the inaugural Big Kem Excel Programme held on December 1 at the Mumong Sports Complex.
Organised by the Big Kem Project in collaboration with the Belait District Youth and Sports Division and the KBPiranha Swimming Club, the programme aimed to develop and nurture sporting talent among Belait District children.
Children aged six to 12 participated in two separate activities focusing on badminton and swimming, at the complex’s multi-purpose hall and swimming pool.
The lessons learnt during the programme were applied in a series of friendly competitions.
Medals were awarded to competition winners.
The programme’s success paves the way for similar activities to be held in the near future. – Daniel Lim
