Members of the public can get a feel of the latest Nissan’s technological advancement in e-Power by taking the newly launched Nissan X-Trail for a test drive.
E-Power technology is a petrol-powered electric vehicle (EV) system that offers a unique blend of electric and gasoline. The electric motor drives the wheels directly, providing instant torque and a smooth driving experience similar to EVs. It is a mid-size sports utility vehicle (SUV) built for families and adventure seekers.
The new X-Trail is equipped with innovative technologies that offer greater safety, convenience and comfort. This includes the Nissan Intelligent Mobility suite of features, combining the three pillars of intelligent driving, intelligent power and intelligent integration for a safer and more connected experience behind the wheels.
It is also powered with ‘e-4orce’ which is a unique electric AWD technology offering the perfect balance between power and control.
With the presence of two electric motors (front and rear), it ensures perfect weight distribution and optimum torque distribution. It grips more and provides stable handling, making the driving experience exciting just like an EV.
There is also no need to look for charging stations or installing charging capabilities at home.
By changing the combination of electric-drive motors and power generation engines, it delivers quiet driving with excellent response over a wide range of vehicles from compact cars to minivans as well as SUVs.
With a fuel efficiency of 18.3 kilometres per litre, the new Nissan X-Trail can travel to Miri from Brunei three times with full tank of petrol.
