The much-anticipated Brunei Darussalam Table Tennis Association Open Tournament 2023 kicked off amid sporting fever and action at the Menglait Sports Complex yesterday. The two-day tournament, which will conclude on September 10, witnessed a total of 32 players who finished first and second in their respective groups advancing to the winners’ round.
Meanwhile, 32 players who were ranked third and fourth entered the losers’ round. A total of 25 players who finished fifth and sixth also moved to the losers’ round. Eight female participants progressed to the quarterfinals.
The final rounds will be held on September 10 culminating in a prize presentation ceremony. – Fadhil Yunus
