Symposium brings together experts to discuss neurological health

Pantai Jerudong Specialist Centre (PJSC) launched ‘The Brunei Neuroscience Stroke and Rehabilitation Centre (BNSRC) Frontiers 2024’ symposium and conferences at the PJSC building in Kampong Jerudong.

Minister of Health Dato Seri Setia Dr Haji Mohd Isham bin Haji Jaafar, who is the chairman of PJSC, as the guest of honour launched the symposium.

The event commenced with a welcoming speech by Chairperson of the organising committee Dr M N Chidananda Swamy.

It saw a keynote address, delivered by President of the Indian Society of Neuroanaesthesiology and Critical Care (ISNACC) Dr V Bhadri Narayan, as well as insights and expertise from renowned international professionals Dr Girija Prasad Rath, a professor of neuroanaesthesiology and critical care and a registrar at AIIMS, New Delhi and Dr Peter Tan, a consultant neuroanaesthesiologist at Sarawak General Hospital in Kuching, Malaysia.

Following the launch, the minister awarded a certificate of completion of the ISNACC Post-Doctoral Fellowship to Dr Nurulhuda binti Abdul Manap, as well as presented certificates of appreciation and mementos to the speakers and sponsors of the symposium.

BNSRC Frontiers seeks to enhance knowledge and awareness on neurological health and conditions through exchanging new and contemporary ideas, techniques and technological achievements.

It brings the medical community together and provides opportunities for doctors, nurses and allied health professionals to be more included in the neurological arena, while learning about the latest updates and best practices on treatment and care of neurological diseases.
