Takaful Brunei presented a BND10,000 donation and a set of paediatric vision screening equipment on October 17 to the Brunei Ophthalmology Society (BOS) in celebration of World Sight Day.
A ceremony was held at the Ministry of Health (MoH) where Takaful Brunei Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Haji Shahrildin bin Pehin Orang Kaya Lela Utama Dato Paduka Haji Jaya presented the donation to Permanent Secretary at the MoH Haji Maswadi bin Haji Mohsin. The paediatric vision screening equipment is anticipated to play a vital role in advancing eye care for underprivileged youth, ensuring that visual issues are detected and addressed at an early stage.
Takaful Brunei Mobile (TBM) users can donate to BOS to support the initiative by redeeming their MyRewards points via the mobile application. “We remain committed to supporting the well-being of the community through corporate social responsibility efforts,” said Takaful Brunei in a statement. “The donation aligned with our dedication to fostering a healthier future for the nation.” – Lyna Mohamad
