The Shell Master Mechanics Programme 2023 is set with the objective to contribute to the realisation of Brunei Vision 2035, which focusses on nurturing highly-educated, skilled and accomplished professionals.

This was said by Brunei Shell Marketing Sdn Bhd (BSM) Head of Commercial Erdiana binti Abdul Rahim to the media yesterday during a session at the IBTE Mechanical Campus in Tungku to introduce students to the programme.

“It is our aspiration to provide support and motivation in upskilling vehicle mechanics or students so that they will be able to better serve the community,” she said.

“This endeavour fuels the aspirations and ambitions of both the individuals and the nation, creating a shared journey towards progress and success,” added Erdiana.

She shared that the programme is a unique learning and certification initiative designed to upskill the knowledge and skills of vehicle mechanics open to all vehicle mechanics practising in the Sultanate as well as a special category for IBTE students who aspires to be a vehicle mechanics.

The programme offers numerous benefits for participants including upskilling through Shell Workshop Academy online modules and improvement of knowledge and recommendation skills particularly on the use of lubricant products and all participants will receive a completion certificate.

BSM believes the programme will be valuable in their search for employment opportunity in the field of vehicle mechanics.

Participants will have the opportunity to show off their skills during the assessment session to compete for the title of ‘Star Shell Master Mechanic’ with prizes including all-expenses-paid trip to attend the 2023 Moto GP event and cash.

The programme will also be launched to general vehicle mechanics on the first week of July.
