Radio Television Brunei (RTB) and Makan Ceria Sdn Bhd (McDonald’s Brunei) hosted a sungkai for 10 orphans from Kampong Sungai Hanching and Kampong Sungai Tilong at McDonald’s Gadong on Tuesday. The event began with a Tahlil and Doa Arwah led by Abdul Azim bin Roslan followed by a recitation of verses from Surah Al-Baqarah by Muhammad Hadi Zakwan bin Mohamad Irwan.
Acting Director of RTB Haji Azman bin Haji Abdul Rahim and Acting General Manager of McDonald’s Brunei Haji Mohd Munir Syafiq bin Dato Paduka Haji Metassan handed contributions to the orphans.
The event is part of RTB’s Jalinan Kasih project, which has reached out to the needy in all four districts since 2009.
