According to the head of physical education and sport at JIS Hasim Khan, the annual event aims to bring schools together and “foster a sense of community”.

He added, “Beyond showcasing sportsmanship, the event aims to create an inclusive environment where everyone feels welcome to take part, promoting teamwork and connection through friendly competition.”

The event also featured local artisans selling exclusive products such as handcrafted accessories, home decorations and artwork.

Members of the JIS community also operated several stalls to raise funds for school initiatives, such as the Borneo Project, Penan Support and the JIS Parent Community Committee (JPCC).

Additionally, the gym field featured ‘Fun Activities and Challenge Stations’, offering spectators a chance to join a variety of free sports-related games to win prizes.

JIS Executive Principal Nicholas Sheehan said, “It’s incredible to see so many schools and teams unite for a day that not only celebrates sports but also strengthens community bonds.
