His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, on Tuesday welcomed His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim, Yang di-Pertuan Agong of Malaysia, for a Royal Audience at Istana Nurul Iman.
During the Royal Audience ceremony at Cheradi Laila Kenchana, His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim extended an invitation to His Majesty The Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam to attend his Coronation Ceremony as the 17th Yang di-Pertuan Agong of Malaysia on July 20, 2024.
The recital of Doa Selamat was read by State Mufti Pehin Datu Seri Maharaja Dato Paduka Seri Setia Dr Ustaz Haji Awang Abdul Aziz bin Juned.
Following the audience ceremony, Their Majesties proceeded to a luncheon at Cheradi Ratna Otika. Also present during the audience and luncheon were His Majesty’s sons, His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO); His Royal Highness Prince ‘Abdul Malik; and His Royal Highness Prince ‘Abdul Mateen.
His Majesty The Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam later bid farewell to His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim, Yang di-Pertuan Agong of Malaysia, at His Majesty the Sultan’s Flight Hangar.
Earlier on Tuesday morning, His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah, welcomed His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim at the Sultan’s Flight Hangar as a personal representative of His Majesty The Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam.
