His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, received in audience the Special Envoy of His Royal Highness Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin ibni Almarhum Tuanku Syed Putra Jamalullail, the Raja of Perlis, led by Yang Amat Mulia Dato’ Seri Diraja Syed Badarudin ibni Almarhum Tuanku Syed Putra Jamalullail, Tengku Syarif Bendahara Perlis yesterday.
During the audience ceremony, Yang Amat Mulia Tengku Syarif Bendahara Perlis Dato’ Seri Diraja Syed Badarudin Jamalullail presented an invitation, ‘Warkah Persilaan’ from His Royal Highness Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin ibni Almarhum Tuanku Syed Putra Jamalullail, the Raja of Perlis to His Majesty, to attend the Silver Jubilee Celebrations of the reign of His Royal Highness the Raja of Perlis, on April 17 in Perlis, Malaysia.
Accompanying Yang Amat Mulia at the audience ceremony were spouse of Yang Amat Mulia Tengku Syarif Bendahara Perlis, Yang Mulia Datin Seri Diraja Sharifah Azura binti Said Hamoza, Tengku Puan Bendahara Perlis; Dato’ Rahimi bin Ismail, Perlis State Secretary; Tuan Rushdan bin Rusmi, Member of Parliament for Padang Besar, Perlis; and Chargé d’Affaires at the High Commission of Malaysia to Brunei Darussalam Nur Ezira binti Mahadi.
Also present during the ceremony were Chief of Adat Istiadat Negara Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran Indera Setia Diraja Sahibul Karib Pengiran Anak Haji Idris bin Pengiran Maharaja Lela Pengiran Muda Abdul Kahar; Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Minister of Finance and Economy II Dato Seri Setia Dr Awang Haji Mohd Amin Liew bin Abdullah; Deputy Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office Dato Seri Paduka Mohd Riza bin Dato Paduka Haji Mohd Yunos; and Deputy Permanent Secretary at the Prime Minister’s Office Pengiran Haji Raffizanna bin Pengiran Haji Razali as Acting Grand Chamberlain.
The ceremony took place at Istana Nurul Iman.
