His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam on Thursday afternoon received in audience Dato’ Seri Utama Haji Mohamad bin Haji Hasan, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Malaysia who is on an introductory visit to Brunei Darussalam.
During the Audience Ceremony at Istana Nurul Iman., His Majesty and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Malaysia touched on the enduring friendship and cooperation between Brunei Darussalam and Malaysia that has continued to prosper over the years, with 2024 marking four decades of diplomatic relations.
Both sides also reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening the existing collaborations in various fields such as economy, education, defence, tourism, culture, sports and health, and to further explore matters of mutual importance to both countries.
Present at the audience ceremony were High Commissioner of Malaysia to Brunei Darussalam Raja Dato’ Reza bin Raja Zaib Shah, as well as Minister of Foreign Affairs II Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Erywan bin Pehin Datu Pekerma Jaya Haji Mohd Yusof.
