His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, on Thursday afternoon received in audience General TNI (Rtd) Prabowo Subianto, Minister of Defence and President-Elect of the Republic of Indonesia.
The Audience Ceremony took place at Istana Nurul Iman.
During the Audience Ceremony, His Majesty and Prabowo Subianto discussed bilateral cooperation in areas of mutual importance, as well as exchanged views on regional and international issues.
Accompanying Prabowo Subianto were Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Indonesia to Brunei Darussalam Prof. Dr. Achmad Ubaedillah; Member of House of Representatives of the Republic of Indonesia Mr. Sugiono; and Chief of Staff Major Teddy Indra Wijaya.
Also present during the Audience Ceremony were Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Minister of Defence II Pehin Datu Lailaraja Major General (Retired) Dato Paduka Seri Haji Awang Halbi bin Haji Mohd Yusof; Minister of Foreign Affairs II Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Erywan bin Pehin Datu Pekerma Jaya Haji Mohd. Yusof; and Deputy Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office Dato Seri Paduka Awang Mohammed Riza bin Dato Paduka Haji Mohammed Yunos.
Following the Audience Ceremony, His Majesty and Prabowo Subianto attended an afternoon tea.
Prabowo Subianto will be inaugurated as the eighth President of the Republic of Indonesia on 20th October 2024.
