His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa‘adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, on Thursday attended a meeting with Senior Vice President of Boeing Company and President of Boeing Global Dr Brendan Nelson; and a Bilateral Meeting with President of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam Võ Văn Thưởng.
Accompanying His Majesty was His Royal Highness Prince ‘Abdul Mateen.
During the first Meeting between His Majesty and Dr Brendan which was held at Four Seasons, the discussion included matters related to Boeing’s services.
At the Bilateral Meeting with the President of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam at the Moscone Center, both leaders discussed matters of mutual interest to strengthen the close cooperation between Brunei Darussalam and the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam, including areas such as trade and economy, agriculture, tourism and people-to-people exchanges.
Both Leaders also touched on strengthening cooperation to ensure a stable, safe and peaceful South China Sea.
His Majesty is in the United States to attend the Asia-Pacific Economic Leaders’ Meeting (AELM) which will be held on 15th until 17th November 2023, chaired by Joseph Biden, President of the United States as the APEC Chairman for 2023.
