His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam on Tuesday afternoon held a meeting with His Majesty King Charles III, King of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland at the Oak Room, Windsor Castle, United Kingdom.
According to a press release from the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO), during the meeting, Their Majesties, among other things, touched on matters to strengthen bilateral cooperation in various fields between Brunei Darussalam and the United Kingdom including the welfare and well-being of citizens, alongside the opportunity for Their Majesties to further strengthen the bond and friendship between the royal families of both countries.
This marks the first formal meeting between the two sovereigns since His Majesty King Charles III succeeded the Throne on 8th September 2022.
