    Sultan confers Personal Colours to RBPF

    The Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF) hosted a Personal Colour conferment ceremony yesterday, with His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam officiating the ceremony attended by members of the royal family and key dignitaries.

    Also in attendance were His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office; and Her Royal Highness Princess Hajah Masna, Commandant of the Women Police at the RBPF.

    The event began with the guard of honour and police contingents, accompanied by the RBPF band, marching into formation, marking the beginning of the ceremony. The RBPF Flag Party followed, as Surah Al-Fatihah was recited.

    His Majesty inspected the guard of honour and various contingents before overseeing the ceremonial presentation of the Personal Flag of the Sultan. This was followed by the traditional tepung tawar ritual, with a call of ‘Allahu Akbar’ led by the parade commander.

    His Majesty also delivered a titah during the ceremony. Senior Superintendent Haji Hamri Aslan bin Haji Abu Hanafiah recited the police oath, while Deputy Superintendent of Police Aimi Safwan bin Zalidin led a prayer for safety.

    The ceremony concluded with a royal salute and the playing of the national anthem, ‘Allah Peliharakan Sultan’.

    His Majesty, accompanied by the royal family, departed the ceremony as the contingents, along with the Royal Flag Party, marched out.

    Acting Deputy Commissioner of Police Yang Amat Mulia SAC Pengiran Anak Haji Mohammad Saifullah bin Pengiran Indera Setia Diraja Sahibul Karib Pengiran Anak Haji Idris; Acting Commissioner of Police DCP Dato Seri Pahlawan Sulaiman bin Alidin; Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office Pehin Datu Lailaraja Major General (Rtd) Dato Paduka Seri Haji Halbi bin Haji Mohd Yussof; and Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Minister of Finance and Economy II Dato Seri Setia Dr Awang Haji Mohd Amin Liew bin Abdullah were also present. – Fadley Faisal
