Sultan commissions 54 new RBAF officers

His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, on Thursday graced the Sovereign’s Parade Ceremony for the 22nd Intake of Officer Cadets of the Officer Cadet School which was held at the Parade Square of the Defence Academy, Royal Brunei Armed Forces (DA RBAF) in Kampung Tanah Jambu.

Accompanying His Majesty were His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and His Royal Highness 920 Major (U) Prince ‘Abdul Mateen.

A total of 54 officer cadets (34 males and 20 females) were commissioned during the ceremony.

Twenty-nine (29) officer cadets were commissioned as Royal Brunei Land Force (RBLF) officers, 12 officer cadets as Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) officers, 11 officer cadets as Royal Brunei Air Force (RBAirF) officers, and two others are international officer cadets from the Malaysian Armed Forces and Singapore Armed Forces.
