His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam called for prudence in managing the country’s finances and emphasised on every control officer appointed “to comply with the existing financial guidelines and not use their power or authority to spend the national budget indiscriminately”.
