His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, in a titah emphasised the importance of integrity, transparency, and accountability within the Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF).
His Majesty delivered the titah during the Personal Colour Award Ceremony at the RBPF Headquarters on Saturday.
His Majesty highlighted that the conferment of the Personal Colour was a recognition of the dedication, commitment, and service of RBPF officers in maintaining national security and public order. “This award is not merely a symbol or decoration but carries profound meaning, reflecting the high trust placed in the police force,” His Majesty said in the titah.
The monarch also stressed that officers must uphold unwavering loyalty to the Monarch, Nation, and Religion, while embracing the values of courage, discipline, and efficiency. The RBPF Strategic Plan, launched on October 28, 2024, was referenced as a key blueprint for the force’s progress, focusing on five main pillars: infrastructure, resource management, technology, training, and community engagement.
His Majesty reiterated the need for officers to continuously enhance their professionalism, leadership, and capabilities, while fostering strategic partnerships at home and abroad. The competency framework introduced for all police ranks aims to refine skills, streamline operations, and strengthen structural reforms.
“As the force celebrates its 104th anniversary, I hope to see it demonstrate maturity in fulfilling its duties and reflecting on ways to further improve professionalism,” His Majesty remarked.
The event concluded with His Majesty extending appreciation to all officers and personnel who contributed to the success of the ceremony, underscoring RBPF’s ongoing role in safeguarding the sovereignty, security, and well-being of the nation. – Fadley Faisal
