His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam attended a state dinner reception at the Presidential Palace yesterday.
The reception was also attended by other state guests and included several musical performances.
DEPARTURE FROM JAKARTA
His Majesty yesterday left Jakarta, Indonesia after attending the Inauguration Ceremony of the President and Vice-President of Indonesia.
Prior to leaving, a Doa Selamat was recited by State Mufti Pehin Datu Seri Maharaja Dato Paduka Seri Setia (Dr) Ustaz Haji Awang Abdul Aziz bin Juned.
Present at the Soekarno-Hatta International Airport to bid farewell to His Majesty was Ambassador of Brunei Darussalam to Indonesia Brigadier General (Rtd) Dato Seri Pahlawan Haji Abdul Razak bin Haji Abdul Kadir. Brunei Darussalam and Indonesia enjoy close and friendly relations as well as bilateral cooperation in the fields of trade and investment, defence, education, health, labour and people-to-people exchanges.
The two countries established diplomatic relations in January 1984 and also work closely through regional and international cooperation including ASEAN, APEC, OIC and BIMP-EAGA.
