Two teachers from the Agriculture Department, two from the Food and Nutrition Department, one career teacher, and Sayyidina Husain Secondary School students visited IBTE Agrotechnology Campus in Wasan.
The educational visit’s objectives were to learn about the campus and expose students taking agriculture as well as food and nutrition subjects to the courses on offer at IBTE.
The campus’ Senior Technical Instructor and Public Relations Officer Dayangku Zayaputeri binti Pengiran Haji Mohd Yamin welcomed the group, who briefed the students on the campus.
The group then toured the Food Tech Unit, where they learnt about the food manufacturing process and the process of making products from roselle plant. The group was then shown the Aqua Tech Unit, where they learnt about the fish nursery and hatching process. The visit concluded at the Crop Production Unit, where the students were briefed on growing vegetables using hydroponics.
