Around 40 students and teachers from Chung Hua Middle School (CHMS), Kuala Belait visited the Singapore High Commission in Brunei Darussalam and the Aewon Factory in a school trip recently.
The students met with the High Commissioner of Singapore to Brunei Darussalam Laurence Bay Siow Hon, who shared insights on diplomatic relations between Brunei Darussalam and Singapore as well as the functions of a diplomatic mission.
The high commissioner also held a question and answer session with the students, and spoke on opportunities on student exchanges and scholarships. A piece of art was presented by a student to the high commissioner, to commemorate the visit.
Following the visit to the high commission, the students visited the Aewon Factory where they learnt more on the process of making shirts, including the school’s uniforms. – Daniel Lim
