Fifteen students of St James school’s basketball team have resumed proper training at the Mumong Sports Complex following more than three years of hiatus due to the global pandemic.
The school secured a regular slot from the complex’s management, allowing them to practice every Wednesday afternoon.
Speaking to the Bulletin, the team’s coaches Leonardo Amo and Jose Lorenzo Aguilar noted that with the students’ restarting practice, they hope it will help prepare them for future basketball activities and competitions.
In addition, the two coaches also hope that the regular training will help instil discipline, responsibility, teamwork, and sportsmanship among players, and inspire other students to participate.
The school noted that the new start for the students represents one of their initiatives to promote a healthy lifestyle.
