Students rock the audience with Queen numbers

Jerudong International School (JIS) held a performance of the school edition of the jukebox musical, We Will Rock You, at the JIS Arts Centre recently.

We Will Rock You was about the journey of two young bohemians, Galileo and Scaramouche, as they embarked on a quest to unravel the profound power of music set 300 years in the future.

The performance featured songs by British band Queen, including We Will Rock You, Under Pressure and Radio Ga Ga, which provided the audience with musical experience of resilience and unity.

With 63 students performing on stage, 250 students and 88 working staff contributed in setting up the scenes in construction, prop building, costume making and choreography.

The music was performed by eight students in the orchestra pit, led by musical director Rob Wilkinson.
