Students recognised for spirit of volunteerism

Ten students from International School Brunei (ISB) received certificates of appreciation during a ceremony at Goldstone Ballroom, The Centrepoint Hotel, Gadong during a Hari Raya celebration with special needs families hosted by LZ Hussain & Co, Advocates and Solicitors on May 14.

The certificates were presented by the The Impian Project founder Lailatul Zubaidah Hussain.

The Impian Project is a community platform supporting and advocating for Brunei Darussalam special’s needs community.

The certificate presentation ceremony was aimed to create awareness and further spread the spirit and culture of volunteerism among the public and youths in particular to give back to society.

The ISB students involved in the fund-raising project held face painting activities and conducted a bake sale at the Fun Fest Festival held last December together with other organisations to celebrate International Day of Persons with Disabilities 2022.

Through these efforts, the students raised over BND500 which was donated to The Impian Project, and channelled to support a family in Tutong District living with disability.
