Kumon Diligent celebrated its 9th Advanced Student Award Weekend yesterday as 183 students received medals, trophies and certificates for their achievements in the after-school learning programme.
Kumon Diligent Chief Instructor Caley Lim presented the awards during a ceremony at the Cesar Grand Hall, Mulia Hotel.
This year, Completer Plaques were also earned by eight students – Syifa Loo, 16; Jaden Huang, 12; Zhen Yen, 17; Noel Nodie, 16; Izz Ayadi, 15; Faiz Lim, 14; Jeff Louis, 14; and Ammar Hamizan, 14 – from a wide range of schools.
Their Kumon journeys were shared, and advice was given to the other award students present on how to take charge of their own study while Caley challenged all award students to strive towards completing the Kumon programme to reap its fullest benefits. – Lyna Mohamad
