Thirty orphaned students who achieved excellent results in their ‘A’ and ‘O’ levels, Brunei Religious Education Higher Certificate (STPUB), Brunei Religious Education Certificate (SPUB), Religious Primary Schools Education Certificate (SSSRU) and Primary School Assessment (PSR) in 2024 were honoured in the Bank Islam Brunei Darussalam (BIBD) Excellent Student Incentive Scheme Awards yesterday.
The award presentation was held during the National Orphans’ Donation Presentation Ceremony at the Jerudong Sports Complex.
Minister of Home Affairs Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Ahmaddin bin Haji Abdul Rahman, who is also Chairman of the Board of Directors of BIBD, presented the BIBD Excellent Student Incentive Scheme Awards as the guest of honour. Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Nazmi bin Haji Mohamad was also present as the guest of honour.
The recipients for Outstanding Students in ‘A’ Level were Haninah Shakira binti Mohamad Fadzli and Aleeya Maisarah binti Haji Roslan, while the recipients for Outstanding Students in ‘O’ Level were Nasha Zulaiha binti Mohamad Fadzli @ Da Dam Kim and Nur Afiqah binti Abdul Muiz.
Meanwhile, the award for Outstanding Students in STPUB went to Muhammad Razin bin Haji Zakaria, Muhammad Syafiq Aiman bin Sukarni, Hamimi Nurbatrisyia binti Haji Abdul Kifli and Dayangku Amirah Halimatun Zainah binti Pengiran Haji Ali.
The awards for Outstanding Students in SPUB went to Mohammad Naqibuddin bin Asbinin, Nurul Afiqah binti Hasnan and Mohammad Azhuari Mal bin Haji Rosman.
The recipients for Outstanding Students in SSSRU were Dani’sh Hasya bin Haji Abdul Khani, Bazilah Izzati binti Haji Razali, Nurhasya Irdina binti Saiful Bahrin, Muhammad Wajdi ‘Abqari bin Haji Mohammad Junaidi, Abang Mohammad Hafidz bin Abang Mohd Erwan, Nurul Fa’eqah Syathirah binti Zamain, Nurul Iffah Hidayah binti Abdullah Yahmiruddin Shah, Nur Fadhiiah binti Bahrin, Izzatul Insyirah binti Abdullah, Nur Areej Amalia binti Haji Harith, Zainul Asri bin Zaraini and Anis Safwa binti Aminnorrahman.
The recipients for Outstanding Students for PSR were Sharifah Nora May binti Abang Mohammad Erwan, Huda Sabrina Humaira’ binti Haji Ghazali, Amirah Najwa binti Mohammad Sahrin, Siti Omirah Etikah binti Haji Kalong, Dayangku Nur’ain Alisa Zafeerah binti Pengiran Haji Mohammad Sofian, Mohammad Qahir Saaduddin bin ‘Abdul Quddus and Muhammad Fadhlul Iqbal bin Samsudin. – James Kon
