Thirteen degree-level students from Kolej International Graduate Studies’ (KIGS) Faculty of Business organised its first event project ‘Kiulap Fest’ since COVID-19 broke out in 2019.

Kiulap Fest serves as a practical assessment of the event management module supervised by Senthilkumar from the Faculty of Business.

The event includes food vendors to support small to medium enterprises (SMEs), photo booth and mini games. The assessment is set with the objectives to expose the students to experience a real life business situation and allow them to gain experience managing an event other than learning in the classroom.

Collaborations include Projek Bina Ukhwah (PBU) and Centre for Children with Special Needs (KACA).

Kiulap Fest is helping to raise 10 per cent of the donation profit for KACA special needs children so they can live independently and continue education at government primary schools.

PBU is collecting basic necessities for underprivileged families for the upcoming Ramadhan.

KIGS Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Dr Haji Azaharaini bin Haji Jamil officiated the event while KACA Managing Director Haji Abdul Alim bin Haji Awang Othman was the guest of honour.

The event kicked off with the recitation of Doa by lecturer at the Faculty of General Studies Nordin bin Ajmain followed by welcoming remarks by KIGS Head of Public Relations Haji Hasnul bin Haji Hamdani.
