The Meragang Sixth Form Centre (PTEM) celebrated the academic achievements of its students and lecturers during the Majlis Anugerah Pencapaian Academic 2024 on Thursday.
The event honoured those who excelled in the 2023-2024 academic year, recognising their dedication and hard work.
The event began with the national anthem, the school song and the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah and Doa, followed by the welcome speech by PTEM Principal Haryani binti Haji Mohammad.
Awards were presented to students across various categories, including Outstanding Achievers in Brunei-Cambridge GCE ‘A’ Level 2024, Top Achievers in BC GCE ‘A’ Level 2024 by Tariff Points, Achievers in BC GCE ‘A’ Level 2024 by Tariff Points 200 – 280, Best Student in Individual Subject 2024, Academic Performance Improvement Award 2023-2024, and Best Attendance Award. Lecturers and departments were also recognised for their contributions to academic excellence, with awards for Departments with Improvements in BC GCE ‘A’ Level Grade A* – C (2022-2024), Departments with Improvements in BC GCE ‘A’ Level Grade A* – E (2022-2024), and Tutors with 100 per cent Achievement in BC GCE ‘A’ Level 2024.
The ceremony also featured the presentation of the Principal Award with a speech from the award recipient, followed by the presentation of souvenirs to the guest of honour, Head of the Academic Division, Programmes, and Educational Services at the Department of Schools, Ministry of Education Hajah Nisah binti Haji Gharif. – Fadley Faisal
