Two lecturers and 18 students of the Bachelor of Religious Education and Diploma in Religious Education programmes of Religious Teachers University College of Seri Begawan (KUPU SB) are currently attending the Rihlah Ilmiah programme in Osaka, Japan.
The programme, organised by the Fikrah Club under Faculty of Usuluddin, KUPU SB in collaboration with the Japan Da’wah Centre, ends tomorrow.
Lecturer and head of delegation Dayangku Hajah Norafizah binti Pengiran Haji Bungsu said the Rihlah Ilmiah programme aims to strengthen Islamic brotherhood between students of KUPU SB and Muslim converts in Osaka.
She added that the visit aims to broaden the students’ perspectives, enrich their experience and build intellectual relationships, particularly in Islamic preaching, through discussions and direct learning within the Muslim community in Japan, while promoting Brunei Darussalam as a Zikir nation based on the Malay Islamic Monarchy (MIB) concept.
The delegation visited Kansai University in Osaka and presented waqaf to the mosque committee in Osaka.
