The two-day programme included a turning trash into treasures creative art and craft activities; problem solving and creative thinking for innovative solutions to make the home, community and the school more environmentally sustainable as well as leadership, teamwork and public speaking exercises.

School science teacher Dayangku Hajah Noor Zainah binti Pengiran Haji Abdul Razak said they hope the students will be able to spread the message of environmental preservation, climate change and sustainability.

“Through the programme, we also hope that the students will be inculcated on current issues outside of classrooms and books,” she added.

The two-day programme, facilitated by Curious Mind founder Shaun Hoon, was sponsored by Cosmopolitan College of Commerce and Technology.

It was the second year that the school participated in the Green Day programme, which carried the theme ‘Climate Change and Sustainability’. A total of 10 schools were selected to participate in the programme. – James Kon
