Some 170 students from Keriam Primary School, Tutong District attended a financial awareness roadshow organised by the Brunei Darussalam Central Bank (BDCB) at the school yesterday.
The students participated in interactive games and activities organised by BDCB, as well as institutions including Baiduri Bank, Standard Chartered Bank, Perbadanan Tabung Amanah Islam Brunei (Perbadanan TAIB) and Cyber Security Brunei (CSB).
The roadshow aimed to raise awareness on BDCB’s roles and responsibilities, as well as equip participants with financial management skills, and act as a platform to promote financial inclusion by sharing information on the available financial products and services available in the market. Additionally, CSB also aimed to educate students about the importance of online safety, the potential risks associated with digital technology, and encourage students to responsibly use the Internet, especially social media.
The BDCB had a coin exchange programme to enable teachers and students to exchange them for banknotes.
