The Nationhood Unit of the Strategic Communication Division at the Information Department organised a briefing for Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Arabic School yesterday.
The programme is part of the Information Department’s efforts to sow love for the monarch, religion, race and country while strengthening solidarity and patriotism.
The briefing saw the attendance of 243 Year 7 students as well as Principal Haji Norhisyam bin Haji Mohd Noor and school staff.
Head of Nationhood Unit Hajah Noorhijrah binti Haji Idris gave a talk on the benevolent monarch, the procedure for hoisting the national flag and history of the national anthem.
The event ended with a prize presentation to 12 students who answered quizzes correctly.
Meanwhile, the Nationhood Unit also conducted a similar briefing at Institute of Brunei Technical Education (IBTE) Mechanical Campus in Tungku for 131 IBTE and sixth form centre students.
The briefing, also facilitated by Hajah Noorhijrah, saw the attendance of Academic Manager Yong Ing Ming.
