Students join leadership camp in Malaysia

Three Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali students participated in the Islamic Youth Leadership Convention (IYLC) 2.0 at the Universiti Sultan Zainal Abidin (UniSZA) in Terengganu, Malaysia recently.

The convention was held to discuss issues, and encourage dialogue on leadership among students from ASEAN universities.

The conference featured participants getting involved in cleaning cemeteries, villages, cooking food for residents and celebrating Maulidur Rasul. An undergraduate conference focusing on leadership in the Islamic world was also held.

UNISSA Student Association’s Student Representative Council President Muhammad Firdaus bin Sait, Secretary II Nur Akashah Nadhirah Afifah binti Razali and Asian Law Students’ Association (ALSA) Brunei President Syafiah binti Abdul Hafidz participated in the conference discussing ‘Sustainable Leadership’ with their ASEAN counterparts. – Fadley Faisal
