Kolej International Graduate Studies (KIGS) recently hosted eight students from the Bank Islam Brunei Darussalam (BIBD) Advocating Life-long Learning for an Aspiring Future (ALAF) programme to provide them with first-hand insights into higher education opportunities.
Accompanied by three officers, the students were welcomed by KIGS representatives, who introduced them to the college’s diverse range of courses, including information technology, business, multimedia and broadcasting programmes.
During the visit, the students toured campus facilities, including an art studio, broadcasting studio, computer labs and classrooms.
They also engaged in discussions with KIGS lecturers and students, gaining perspectives on academic life, career development and the importance of higher education.
A highlight of the visit was an interactive session led by the KIGS Student Council. Council members engaged with the BIBD ALAF students in group activities that fostered teamwork and creativity, while sharing insights into student life and leadership at the college. – Lyna Mohamad
