Students attend practical haj demonstration

Al-Falaah School organised a haj practical demonstration for its students in conjunction with Hari Raya Aidiladha on Saturday.

It began with a briefing on the significance of the pilgrimage followed by the demonstration of the seven-step process including wuquf in Arafat, stoning in Mina and tawaf circling the Kaabah.

The event, a recap of the students’ lessons on the fifth pillar of Islam, gave them a glimpse of the experience as a haj pilgrim.

The school hoped the physical embodiment of the haj would deepen the students’ understanding of one of the most important practices in Islam.

The activity last week was the second of its kind organised by the school. The first demonstration was carried out in 2019, prior to the COVID-19 pandemic.
