In the spirit of Syawal, Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Primary School on Wednesday held a lively Hari Raya celebration aimed at fostering closer ties between teachers and students while embracing the joyous atmosphere of the festive season.
The event was attended by nearly 1,000 students from Year 1 to Year 6, who came dressed in colourful traditional attire, adding vibrancy to the school grounds.
A series of performances, including traditional dance and song presentations previously showcased at the International Convention Centre (ICC), entertained the crowd and showcased the students’ talents.

A special video montage featuring Hari Raya greetings from the principal, teachers, and students was screened, further enriching the festive atmosphere. Students also competed for the “Best Dressed” title, while classrooms were decorated to reflect the joyous Hari Raya theme.
The school adopted an open class concept for the celebration, allowing students to mingle and enjoy various activities together. Every student also received a “duit raya” envelope in their respective classrooms, bringing smiles and excitement to the day.
Present to witness the celebration was Principal Hajah Hafizah binti Haji Salat, who commended the school community for their unity and effort in making the event memorable. – Fadley Faisal
