Choo Kok Wei emerged winner of the GWM Asia Strength Game 2023 organised by strengthhub.bn recently.
The Malaysian bested his field with Indonesia’s Johanes taking second place and Waiz Daud from Brunei Darussalam in third place.
Tabriz from Russia claimed fourth place followed by Safwan and Muaz in fifth and sixth place.
The routines being contested included an axle tyre deadlift, 320-kilogramme Yoke Walk, 120-kilogramme Log Press for rep, 240-kilogramme Farmers Carry for max distance, GWM Poer Ruman Car Deadlift for rep, and 120-kilogramme Atlas Stone Over Bar for reps.
The event also witnessed the GWL Haval Jolion Car Deadlift Challenge where participants must lift the car with 35 reps in a minute.
The successful participant won the grand prize, which is the car itself.
Malik from Vertics Gym succeeded the challenge after doing 35 reps in just 40 seconds.
