Kampong Lumut II Village Consultative Council on Wednesday hosted a Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebration at the Liang Lumut Recreation Club.
Brunei LNG Sdn Bhd Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director Adeleye Falade attended the event as the guest of honour, and was welcomed on arrival by Kampong Lumut II Village Head Haji Khairdon bin Haji Dahlan.
The village head said in a speech that the annual celebration aims to strengthen ties between the consultative council and the community.
To enliven the occasion, several performances were lined up to entertain the guests, including one by Kelab Budaya Mukun Selendang Sutera Negara Brunei Darussalam, led by President Irwan Rino bin Nordin. The event also featured a distribution of donations to the underprivileged members of the community, including orphans and senior citizens. – Daniel Lim
