Strength through diversity

Local girl guides alongside international peers attended a leadership forum yesterday as part of the ongoing ‘Share, Learn and Grow’ programme hosted by the Girl Guides Association of Brunei Darussalam (PPPBD).

Acting Dean of Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah Institute of Education at Universiti Brunei Darussalam Dr Roslinawati binti Mohd Roslan, the guest of honour, said, “This gathering is not just an event; it’s a celebration of diversity, learning, and growth.

“We have among us participants from various corners of the world – Bangladesh, Cambodia, India, Pakistan, the Philippines, Malaysia, Maldives, Singapore and the host country Brunei – each bringing their unique perspectives, experiences, and insights,” she added.

“This diversity is our strength, and through our interactions, we can enrich each other’s understanding and create lasting bonds.”

The forum discussed intergenerational leadership as well as the challenges and obstacles in its application. The forum saw some 210 participants. – James Kon
