With the theme “Inspire, Innovate, Integrate” BILIF’s Open Day was held on January 19 and attended by nearly 200 participants.
Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of BILIF Hajah Sufinah binti Haji Sahat said it was held to create awareness on the programmes, events and certifications offered by BILIF.
Hajah Sufinah also mentioned that the Open Day provides an avenue for experts and industry practitioners to share ideas to help expand participants’ knowledge and skills and encourages participants to take a step forward in their professional development.
The event saw a plenary panel discussion on “Inspiring Innovations and Transformative Integrations” facilitated by Manager, Strategic Communications, BILIF, Julius Hong.
Other sharing sessions included “Islamic Finance Talent Ecosystem” , “Cultivating A Growth Mindset”, “Managing People in 21st Century Organisations: Issues & Challenges”, and “Syariah Mu’amalat”.
More sessions were featured in the afternoon, featuring talks on “Putting Your Best Self Forward”, “Fuelling Creative Thinking and Transformative Innovation”, “Islamic Marketing”, “Conditions for a Performance Winning Culture” “LIFE: Data Analytics” and “LIFE: Financial Statement Analysis”.
Local and international strategic partners including Manpower Planning and Employment Council, Universiti Brunei Darussalam, Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali, Lifelong Learning Centre, Islamic Banking and Finance Institute Malaysia, Chartered Institute of Islamic Finance Professionals (CIIF), Malaysia, and others showcased their professional qualifications and certifications as well as learning programmes.
BILIF also hosted a blood donation drive and provide free exhibition booths for entrepreneurs as part of their corporate social responsibility programme.
