State Mufti receives goodwill visit

State Mufti Pehin Datu Seri Maharaja Dato Paduka Seri Setia (Dr) Ustaz Haji Awang Abdul Aziz bin Juned received a goodwill visit from Imam Support Chaplain (Flight Lieutenant) Abdul Kader, Chaplains centre Royal Australian Air Force Williams Australia yesterday.

During the visit at Darulifta at the State Mufti’s Office, the Australian delegation and the state mufti exchanged views on the development of Islam in the two countries, and discussed relations between both nations, particularly in the field of education.

High Commissioner of Australia to Brunei Darussalam Luke Arnold and Australia Defence Adviser to Brunei Darussalam Lieutenant Colonel Paul Anderson were also present.

Imam Abdul Kader is in the Sultanate as part of a five-day working visit until tomorrow, which includes attending the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps (ANZAC) Dawn Service that will be held today. – Rokiah Mahmud
