The Munajat event, organised by the Ministry of Religious Affairs (MoRA), is a blessed event as reciting Zikir, reading Surah Yaasiin, reciting Sayyidul Istighfar and Asma’ al-Husna, performing Selawat for the Prophet (pbuh) and religious talks is held to remember Allah the Almighty.

These was said by State Mufti Pehin Datu Seri Maharaja Dato Paduka Seri Setia (Dr) Ustaz Haji Awang Abdul Aziz bin Juned during a religious talk at Jame’ ‘Asr Hassanil Bolkiah last night, in conjunction with the one-year anniversary of the Munajat event.

Invoking the greatness of the miracles of Al-Quran, the State Mufti said, “We can learn various wisdom and virtues from reading Al-Quran.”

“The virtues,” he said, “are worldly virtues and virtues in the days of hereafter.”

“Al-Quran is a torch for the Day of Resurrection and also in the grave. Days of hereafter and the grave are dark realms and there is no torch that can illuminate it except Al-Quran,” he added.

According to the State Mufti, to be able to read Al-Quran properly is by studying and it is the duty and role of parents.

“Parents are the reason for children to know how to read Al-Quran,” he said.

The state mufti also congratulated MoRA for promoting the Munajat event, making it as an initiative to pioneer the culture of Zikir.

He hoped that the event will create awareness and raise the spirit of Zikir among the ummah.

“Let us enliven this nation, cultivate, decorate, and treat it with Zikir. By guarding Zikir, our country will continue to be safe and prosperous,” the state mufti said.
